The development broke ground on April 11 and it is expected to be completed in 2019.
The new Harrah’s-branded gaming venue is now owned and developed by the Buena Vista Gaming Authority, an entity of the federally recognized Buena Vista Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians of California. The announcement came Friday when in a release, Caesars Entertainment said that it would provide brand licensing for the Harrah’s Northern California Casino, which is to be developed 32 miles southeast of the City of Sacramento on the Buena Vista Tribe reservation land in Amador County.
The company will develop a new, 71,000 square-foot facility that will feature 950 slot machines, 20 gaming tables, and four restaurants. Nevada-based gambling giant Caesars Entertainment Corporation has signed an agreement with the Buena Vista Rancheria tribe for a $168 million Harrah’s casino near Sacramento.
